Before that, he worked as a Turbine Loads engineer for SGRE (Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy) on the team led by Paul Deglaire in Rouen, France. The subject of his work was Numerical Simulation of Vortex Induced Vibrations (VIV) in wind turbines. Prior to that, he started his academic journey in Lisbon by graduating from Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) with a BSc. in Mechanical Engineering. He then carried on his studies by earning the Renewable Energy (RENE) double Msc. degree from Innoenergy between IST and Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan (KTH) in Stockholm, Sweden. During the masters, he developed technical skills in Aerodynamics and Hydrodynamics of floating offshore wind turbines, Computational Fluid Dynamics and Turbulence as well as economic and managerial skills in Economic Analysis of Projects, Entrepreneurship and Corporate Management.
