National University of Ireland, Galway

Established in 1845, NUI Galway is the leading higher education and research organisation in the West of Ireland. It has invested over e0.4billion in its research and teaching infrastructures over the past 10 years. Currently involved in 130 H2020 projects, securing in excess of e60 million in direct funding and coordinating 7 ITNs. MaREI at NUI Galway was established as part of the National MaREI Centre and contributes to some of the most important long-term, environmental, marine and energy research issues.

University College Cork

The MaREI Centre is a marine and renewable energy based research, development and innovation hub at UCC comprising of 80 staff, all of whom are at least MSc qualified and have significant prior industrial/ commercial experience. They are a mix of post-docs, engineers and PhDs across the engineering and oceanographic disciplines, incl. civil, electrical, mechanical engineering, marine law and economics.

INSA Rouen Normandie

INSA Rouen Normandy (National Institute of Applied Sciences) is part of INSA Group which trains more than 10% of French engineers every year. It holds a very strong position within the French higher education system of engineering schools. Its missions: teaching (10 engineering courses including 3 by apprenticeship, 2 specialized Masters), research (8 laboratories, including CORIA whose members will be involved in the STEP4WIND project) and the dissemination of scientific culture revolve around the following areas of expertise: information, big data, mathematics, chemistry and processes, risk management and the conversion of industrial sites, energy, propulsion, mechanics, industrial performance, civil engineering and urbanism.
